Sandy Whitehead and I have talked about going to Big Sugar for months. We usually eat at Knick’s Tavern, our favorite West of the Trail restaurant, about 3 times per week. Sandy and I catch up on our real estate business after very busy days and enjoy visiting with the locals as well as the friendly staff at Knick’s. Last night we had a delightful evening at Big Sugar.
Both Sandy and I had the chopped Caesar salad. I opted to add chicken on mine. Big Sugar’s presentation is just beautiful. The Caesar salad’s arrived on square glass plates with tiny frosty crystals embedded in the glass. Sandy had beef spring rolls that were too spicy for her but not for me — delicious!
The restaurant staff was friendly, accomodating and gracious to us. We plan to return soon. We heard a rumor that the chef/owner used to be at the Table on Hillview — we’ve missed that salad and happy to know it’s now available at Big Sugar.
